TEASER:

1. EXT. McMANN & TATE - DAY

2. INT. McMANN & TATE: DARRIN'S OFFICE - DAY

Darrin sits at his desk while Larry leans against the desk, the two business men listen to a very important client, Mr. Ball, who sits in front of Darrin's desk with buttons that say "Vote For Rob Halliwell". Darrin listens to what Mr. Ball has to say. Larry is anxious to get money as Mr. Ball wants to hurry up and get down to business.

MR. BALL
You see Stephens . . . Mr. Halliwell is very determined to become
city councilman and I know you don't usually do advertising for
politics but me being Mr. Halliwell's personal campaign manager, It's my
job to make sure Mr. Halliwell wins this election.

DARRIN (thrilled)
Of course. We would love to have your account. Come in
tomorrow morning and we'll discuss some of the main details and
get started.

MR. BALL
I knew I could count on McMann & Tate.

LARRY (whispers to Darrin)
I knew I could count on you to deliver a 5 million
dollar account.

DARRIN
Shhh Larry.

MR. BALL
So then I'll be in tomorrow morning at 9?

DARRIN
Sure.

Darrin and Mr. Ball exchange handshakes as Mr. Ball is stands up, getting ready to leave.

LARRY
Good-bye Mr. Ball.

MR. BALL
Later Tate.

Mr. Ball walks out of Darrin's office. Darrin and Larry carefully watch him leave and once he is gone
Larry gives Darrin a great big hug.

LARRY
Yes! We did it!

DARRIN
A little air please.

LARRY
Oh. Yes. Of course.

Larry lets go.

DARRIN (excited, but calm)
This is the biggest thing that has came to
McMann and Tate in 5 years. Sure we've never
advertised things for politics before, but what the hey, right Larry?

LARRY
. . . Yep, and I don't care what happens. Mr. Halliwell will
become our city's next councilman, we are not losing a 5
million dollar account.

3. INT. STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - DAY

Samantha, Phyllis, and Louise Tate are seated at a card playing table with cookies and lemonade as they also discuss the campaign. Bumper stickers and posters, etc. lay around the living room that say, "Vote For Andy Morris".

SAMANTHA
Mr. Halliwell will not win this campaign. He's dirty.

PHYLLIS
He's not good for the job.

LOUISE
. . . And he's running for office for all the wrong reasons.

PHYLLIS
Andy Morris will do a much better job. To Mr. Halliwell, this
is just a popularity contest to embarrass the runner ups.

LOUISE
I heard Mr. Halliwell's campaign manager, Mr. Ball is digging
up all kinds of dirt about Andy Morris.

PHYLLIS
It's not like Mr. Halliwell needs to compete with Andy's campaign posters.
Look at these, "Vote for Andy Morris", how original!

SAMANTHA
Hold it ladies. Our political discussion is turning into
a political gossip session.

PHYLLIS (disappointed)
Oh all right. But what are we going to do
about this? We can't let Mr. Halliwell win this election.

LOUISE
We'll become Andy Morris' behind the election campaign
managers.

SAMANTHA
Can we really do that?

PHYLLIS
Of course we can.

SAMANTHA
But how?

LOUISE
Well first, we'll need some clever slogans.

SAMANTHA
Are we smart enough to do that?

PHYLLIS
No, but I know who is.

Phyllis grins at Samantha and Louise.

SAMANTHA
You mean Darrin?

LOUISE
You mean Larry?

PHYLLIS
Of course, they probably want Andy to
win just as bad as we do if they know
how bad Mr. Halliwell is.

LOUISE
Of course, I'm sure Larry would be glad to help.
I'll talk to him tonight.

SAMANTHA
Darrin too. I'll talk to him tonight.

The ladies give a smile.

PHYLLIS
Watch out Mr. Halliwell, Andy Morris is going to rock
the ballot office.

SAMANTHA / LOUISE / PHYLLIS
Mmm Hmm.

4. INT. STEPHEN'S ENTRANCE HALL & HALLWAY - NIGHT

Darrin is walking up the stairs and Samantha follows him trying to convince Darrin. The scene begins in the entrance hall and they end up talking face to face in the upstairs hallway.

SAMANTHA
C'mon Darrin.

DARRIN
Samantha, I said no. McMann & Tate already made a deal
to help Mr. Halliwell with the election. We could lose
this 5 million dollar account if we lose his contract.

SAMANTHA
So money is more important than having a better community?

DARRIN
If I had the money, we wouldn't have to live in this community.

SAMANTHA
Please Darrin . . . you'd be doing the right thing.

DARRIN
I'd be doing the right thing by staying loyal to the company.

SAMANTHA
Could you just slip us a few tips now and then?

DARRIN
I said no Sam!

SAMANTHA
I thought I could count on you Darrin Stephens, but Nooooooo!

DARRIN
You can count on me any other time but this time.

SAMANTHA (angry)
Arrrggghhh. I'm going to tell your mother on you.

Samantha stalks down the stairs with a straight look on her face. Darrin smiles at Samantha as he
begins to undo his tie.

SAMANTHA (mumbles, cont'd)
I hope Louise has better luck.

DARRIN (yells from upstairs)
What's for dinner?

5. INT. TATE'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Larry lies on the sofa reading the newspaper as Louise sits next to the couch with a puppy face.

LOUISE
Please Larry?

LARRY
As I told you on the phone, when I came home, before dinner, during dinner,
after dinner, and as I'm telling you now . . . No!

LOUISE
But why?

LARRY
Because having a dirty client that is paying 5 million dollars is better
than having a clean client that is paying nothing.

LOUISE
Arrrggghhh.

Louise stalks out of the room with a straight look on her face. Larry smiles at Louise as he continues
to read.

LOUISE (mumbles, cont'd)
I hope Samantha had better luck.

LARRY (yells back)
What's for desert?

LOUISE
Ask your 5 million dollar client!

Act One:

6. STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Samantha sits on the television set talking to Phyllis.

SAMANTHA
Nope. Notta thing. Darrin already made a deal with
Mr. Halliwell for 5 million dollars before I already asked him.

PHYLLIS (voice)
5 million dollars? That's wonderful.

SAMANTHA
I don't care how much money is involved . . . This is just one of those
times where you should do the right thing even though it stinks.

PHYLLIS (voice)
Did Louise have any luck with Mr. Tate?

SAMANTHA
Nothing there either. Larry feels the same way. Money is
just more important to them I guess.

PHYLLIS (voice)
Couldn't you . . . Maybe . . . I don't know . . .
Cast a spell or something to get them to change their
minds or to rig the poll results.

SAMANTHA (shocked)
Of course not. That's just plain wrong for a witch
to tamper around like that in the mortal lives. It sounds
like Mr. Halliwell is going to wipe Andy out .

PHYLLIS (voice)
But let's not give up yet. I'll move if that Halliwell person is elected.

SAMANTHA (laughs)
Alright . . . Good-bye Mrs. Stephens.

Darrin walks into the living room and can't help but listen to Sam's phone call, boy, is he curious to see who it is.

PHYLLIS (voice)
Wait . . . Samantha?

SAMANTHA
What is it?

PHYLLIS (voice)
I just wanted to let you know since Frank and I found
out about you being . . .

SAMANTHA
A witch?

PHYLLIS (voice)
Yeah, a witch and since I've found out, I've felt closer to you now that I know your secret and
I have actually liked you more than I used to. Maybe it's because you don't
have to hide stuff from me anymore but please . . . just . . . call me
Phyllis from now on, Please?

SAMANTHA
Sure, Phyllis!

PHYLLIS (voice)
Good-bye Samantha.

Samantha hangs up.

DARRIN
Who was that? Who are you saying witch to?

SAMANTHA
Phyllis.

DARRIN
Phyllis? My mother Phyllis?

SAMANTHA
Unless you know another Phyllis.

DARRIN
Since when were you two on a first name basis?

SAMANTHA
I can't discuss that with someone from the Halliwell
side of the election.

Samantha begins to walk away with a straight look on her face. Darrin grabs her arms and pulls her back.

DARRIN
Hold it. You still aren't soar about this whole election thing are you?

SAMANTHA
Soar? Of coarse not. I'm plain out angry.

DARRIN
Why? Having this extra account you mean a bonus for me. For us.

SAMANTHA
I know Darrin. But this is just one of those situations where doing
the right is more important than anything.

DARRIN
Oh well then. Besides you haven't told me what is so wrong
about Mr. Halliwell?

SAMANTHA
He's a dirty, obnoxious, jerk!

DARRIN
Sam!

Sam and Darrin are in a "kind of an argument" now.

SAMANTHA
Don't Sam me. I've seen the debates and heard what they have to
say and their views, you haven't. So who are you to take sides?

DARRIN
I'm not taking sides.

SAMANTHA
Your taking sides Darrin.

DARRIN
Okay, how am I taking sides?

SAMANTHA
By being on the bad guy's team when you haven't heard
what he has to say.

Alright . . . It's officially an argument!

DARRIN
Well , Maybe since I haven't heard both them talk,
I might like what Mr. Halliwell has to say.

SAMANTHA
I don't care how you put Darrin, you can't say
anything about this election without hearing what
both candidates have to say.

DARRIN
There is one thing I can say?

SAMANTHA
. . . And what's that?

DARRIN
That I'm on Mr. Halliwell's side and that's that.

SAMANTHA
. . . And I'm on Andy Morris' side and that's that.

DARRIN
Fine!

SAMANTHA
Fine.

DARRIN
I'll campaign for my candidate.

SAMANTHA
And I'll campaign for my candidate.

DARRIN
We'll see who wins!

Samantha walks toward the kitchen and Darrin walks toward his den. They both have angry looks on their faces.

7. EXT. STEPHEN'S HOUSE - LATE NIGHT FADES INTO EARLY MORNING

8. INT. STEPHEN'S KITCHEN & STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - EARLY MORNING

As Cat Steven's "Morning Has Broken" plays for about 35 seconds we fade back and forth from the kitchen to the living room. In the kitchen, we see Samantha sitting at the table working on campaign posters and writing down notes and Darrin does the same at the coffee table in the living room.

9. EXT. STEPHEN'S HOUSE - MORNING

10. INT. STEPHEN'S KITCHEN - MORNING

Samantha sits at the table with her head down, and she is fast asleep. Endora pops in and wonders, "What the heck is going on?"

ENDORA
Samantha! Samantha!

Samantha is startled and wakes up in a big jump.

SAMANTHA
What!??? Oh, it's only you mother.

ENDORA (good mood)
Yes dear. It's nice to see you too.

SAMANTHA (tired)
I didn't mean it like that mother. I was up all night
trying to figure out ideas to help Andy Morris
win for city councilman.

ENDORA
Figures. I should have known better by now.

SAMANTHA
Known what?

ENDORA
Known better than to ask you about what type
of mortal activity you are taking place in.

SAMANTHA
I wouldn't be trying this hard if . . . .
(pauses)

ENDORA
. . . If what!

SAMANTHA
Nothing mother. How 'bout some breakfast?

ENDORA
Samantha, dear? What were you going to tell me?

SAMANTHA
Nothing.

ENDORA
You said you wouldn't be trying this hard if you . . .
What?

SAMANTHA
If I didn't have America's top advertising company
behind Mr. Halliwell, Mr. Morris' competition.

ENDORA
. . . And what advertising company is this?

SAMANTHA
Well!

ENDORA
Tell me Samantha.

SAMANTHA
McMann and Tate.

ENDORA (furious)
. . . And Donald won't help you with Andy Morris'
election?

SAMANTHA
No. Now mother I'm taking care of this situation.

ENDORA
So am I. So what does Donald have to say about
you campaigning for Andy.

SAMANTHA
If you must know . . . We had a big
argument last night about this whole election.
Maybe I should just quit.

ENDORA
Of course not. You stay in that race. Andy will
win, mother is behind you.

SAMANTHA
Mother!?

Endora pops out of the room before Samantha can finish.

ENDORA (voice)
Bye dear. Don't worry.

SAMANTHA
That's what scares me.

11. INT. STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - MORNING

Darrin is asleep on the couch when Samantha walks in from the kitchen to talk to Darrin. Samantha sits on the couch trying to wake Darrin up. Darrin wakes up and he sits up to talk to Samantha. He is very tired, but as the conversation goes on he awakens more.

SAMANTHA
Darrin, wake up! Oh good.

DARRIN
What is it Sam?

SAMANTHA
I want to talk to you about the election.

DARRIN
What is it Sam?

SAMANTHA
I hate fighting with you about is.

DARRIN
Is that so Sam?

SAMANTHA
Yes. I wasn't being fair last night.

DARRIN
No you weren't Sam.

SAMANTHA
Yeah . . . A 5 million dollar account could get
you a bonus, maybe even a raise.

DARRIN
Maybe so Sam.

SAMANTHA
Even though you have to campaign for someone who
thinks this whole election is a popularity contest, I was still wrong.

DARRIN
I guess so Sam.

SAMANTHA
But I just wanted to let you know that I'm glad you get to
handle a big account, I'm very happy for you and the company,
but this doesn't change the way I feel, I still think Andy should win and I not going to
stop campaigning for him.

Darrin gives Sam a big hug and a long kiss.

DARRIN
I absolutely agree.

SAMANTHA
Wow! Your awake now!

12. EXT. McMANN & TATE - MORNING

13. INT. McMANN & TATE WAITING ROOM - MORNING

Darrin (very tired) is heading toward his office when Larry walks out from his office and stops Darrin . . .

LARRY
Wait Darrin. I need to talk to . . .

Darrin is so tired, he doesn't even notice Larry is talking to him and Darrin just walks right into his office and shuts the door right in front of Larry's face.

14. INT. DARRIN'S OFFICE - MORNING

Darrin stalks toward his desk when Larry bursts through the office door and wants to why the heck Darrin shut the door in his face. Darrin turns around and talks to Larry as Darrin leans against his desk.

LARRY
Why did you shut the door on me for?

DARRIN
What door?

LARRY (points)
That door. I called you and you just slammed it in my face.
Almost broke my nose. I could sew you for that.

DARRIN
Okay.

LARRY (curious)
What's wrong with you Darrin? You look tired.
What time did you go to bed last night?

DARRIN
I didn't.

LARRY (surprised)
What!?

DARRIN
I was working on the Mr. Halliwell campaign.

LARRY
All night?

DARRIN
Yes.

LARRY (happy)
Good work Darrin. I just know we are going to get
Mr. Halliwell to be our next city councilman.

DARRIN
Okay.

Larry is so very happy. He begins to leave . . .

LARRY
You son of a gun! But you know, Louise has been trying to get me
to campaign for this other guy, Andy Morris I think she said his
name was.

DARRIN
Yeah, Samantha wants me to campaign for him to. But I just simply told
her that I already was campaigning for someone.

LARRY / DARRIN
. . . And then she tries to tell me that I haven't even heard each candidate
speak and I shouldn't be taking sides.

Larry and Darrin let out a big laugh.

DARRIN
I guess Louise told you the same thing Sam told me.

LARRY
I wonder if those characters rehearse their stories

DARRIN
Maybe.

15. INT. MR. HALLIWELL'S OFFICE - MORNING

Mr. Halliwell just walks around his big, beautiful office giving orders and yelling at everyone. Secretaries or workers or whatever are standing by to take his orders. Mr. Ball follows where Mr. Halliwell goes as he takes notes. A woman named Betsy also stands by. Even a few reporters stand by to take notes and a few photographs.

MR. HALLIWELL
Betsy, You get me coffee now!

BETSY (frightened)
Yes sir.

MR. HALLIWELL
So tell me Ball, what are my campaign plans?

Betsy walks away to get some coffee. Mr. Halliwell and Mr. Ball are seated in two chairs next to each other. Mr. Halliwell waits impatiently trying to be pleased.

MR. BALL
Well, it looks like we have McMann & Tate on our side?

MR. HALLIWELL
Who are they?

MR. BALL
Who are they? Only the top advertising agency in the nation.

MR. HALLIWELL (gives an evil laugh)
Excellent Ball. What else do you have planned?

MR. BALL
Oh... I have plans!

MR. HALLIWELL
What type of plans?

MR. BALL
Plans that cannot be discusses here. Not now.

Mr. Ball looks around at the reporters.

MR. HALLIWELL (whispers)
Good. I don't care what evil ways you come up with, I WILL win this
election, no matter what! Is that clear?

MR. BALL
Yes sir.

16. EXT. A LITTLE OUTSIDE CAFE - NOON

Samantha and Darrin sit outside while they eat lunch. This should be a very funny scene between Samantha and Darrin.

SAMANTHA
So how's your candidate doing?

DARRIN
Good.

SAMANTHA
Good.

DARRIN
So how's your candidate doing?

SAMANTHA
Good.

DARRIN
Good.

SAMANTHA
I know what you are trying to to do.

DARRIN
What?

SAMANTHA
You're not going to tell me about your campaign. You think
I'll still your ideas.

DARRIN
And your not?

SAMANTHA
No.

DARRIN
Let's just change the subject.

SAMANTHA
Alright.

DARRIN
Alright.

They just stop period! There is nothing else to talk about. Samantha quietly lets out a...

DARRIN
So how's the campaign?

Okay, every spills out...

SAMANTHA
We arranged a meeting with Andy this afternoon!
Ooops! You didn't hear that from me Darrin!

DARRIN
We're meeting with Mr. Halliwell this afternoon too.
Oh no! Larry will kill me!

SAMANTHA (laughs)
What is wrong with us?

DARRIN
Your right. It's all right if we tell each other about a stupid
meeting.

SAMANTHA
Of course it is.

They just exchange smiles and continues eating.

END OF ACT ONE

FADE TO COMMERCIAL BREAK

Act Two:

17. EXT. STEPHEN'S HOUSE - AFTERNOON

18. INT. STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON

Samantha, Louise, and Phyllis are all seated having coffee and cheese. The three discuss the election.

PHYLLIS
I can't believe Darrin still won't help you.

SAMANTHA
Oh well. I can't expect Darrin to give up a 5 million
dollar account just for our own personal gain.
Although, I still think Darrin should at least listen
to what each candidate has to say before he takes
sides but that's not the point . . .

LOUISE
Your right. So when will Mr. Halliwell be showing up?

SAMANTHA
Any minute now.

LOUISE
You never told how you got Mr. Morris to come over
this afternoon.

PHYLLIS
Samantha, did you use your wi . . .

SAMANTHA
... winning talents? No, I didn't Phyllis.

Phyllis sure does need to keep her mouth shut when talking about Sam's witchcraft.

PHYLLIS
Oh, yeah, I forgot!

LOUISE
Forgot what?

PHYLLIS (caught)
My car keys. Frank will have to pick me up.

LOUISE
Oh.

SAMANTHA
Anyway, I guess Andy heard about what we are
trying to do for him and called here and wanted
to discuss campaign.

The doorbell rings.

PHYLLIS
That's probably him.

ESMERALDA (voice)
I'll get it.

LOUISE
Who was that?

Esmeralda fades into the entrance hall, but before she does, Samantha sees her and points to the fireplace...

SAMANTHA
Louise, look! It's spider!

Louise jumps quickly and stares at the fireplace. Samantha waves to Esmeralda to hurry up.

ESMERALDA
Me! I'll get it.

Louise looks back at to Samantha...

LOUISE
Samantha, I didn't see anything.

SAMANTHA
I must have been mistaking. Let's go see Andy.

Samantha, Louise, and Phyllis walk over to the front door. Esmeralda has the door open and has already welcomed Andy in. The three ladies exchange handshakes with Andy as everyone walks to living room and sits down. Esmeralda walks into the kitchen and returns earlier with more coffee and cheese.

PHYLLIS
This is very nice of you to show up, Mr. Morris.

ANDY MORRIS
My pleasure. I heard about what you ladies were
trying to do for me and just had to come down
and find what you ladies are doing. I really appreciate this you know?

LOUISE
We're pleased you decided to come by to chat with us.

ANDY MORRIS
No problem at all.

PHYLLIS (whispers to Samantha)
Isn't he charming?

19. INT. McMANN & TATE: DARRIN'S OFFICE - AFTERNOON

Larry and Darrin are having a meeting with Mr. Halliwell and Mr. Ball.

LARRY (whispers to Darrin)
Isn't he a grouch?

DARRIN
Shhh. Anyway, Mr. Halliwell, I highly suggest that you
have a debate with your biggest opponent, Andy Morris.

MR. BALL
I don't think that would be very necessary.

DARRIN
Why not?

MR. BALL
Our Mr. Halliwell here doesn't like to speak.

DARRIN
Well, if you are going to run for city councilman,
you are gonna have to speak in public.

MR. HALLIWELL
Your right Stephens, I like the way you think.

MR. BALL
Yeah, me too.

MR. HALLIWELL
Mr. Halliwell can speak for himself, thank you very much and
no one cares what you think! So, tell me Stephens when
can we set up a debate date with Morris?

DARRIN
Well, he's with... I know where's he's at!
I'll call him right now and set up a date.

Darrin walks picks up the phone and begins to dial.

20 INT. STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - AFTERNOON

Samantha is on the phone talking to Darrin. Everyone else sits on the couch or whatever chatting.

SAMANTHA
Well, I don't know. Let me ask him...
Ahhh! Mr. Morris! Would you be interested
in a debate tonight with Mr. Halliwell? All I have to do
is so okay right now and everything will be set.

Everyone looks over at Samantha.

ANDY MORRIS
What time?

SAMANTHA
What time dear?... Around 7pm, at the high school
auditorium.

ANDY MORRIS
I'll be there.

All the ladies get all excited. Samantha has a smile on her face.

SAMANTHA
He'll be there.

DARRIN (voice)
Alright. I'll see you later.

SAMANTHA
I love you.

Samantha hangs up and walks over to everyone, there is a big commotion over the situation. Esmeralda brings out more snacks...

ESMERALDA
How 'bout some snacks to celebrate?

PHYLLIS
Oh, yes, I'm starved.

LOUISE
I wonder if Mr. Halliwell knows what he's getting
himself into. I mean everyone knows that your the
one who has all the ideas and isn't afraid to speak out.

SAMANTHA
You are so right Louise.

ANDY MORRIS
Well, I'm glad you ladies think so, but...

PHYLLIS
But what?

ANDY MORRIS
You see, Mr. Halliwell plays so dirty. He thinks that this is
just some popularity contest.

SAMANTHA
Geez, I haven't heard that before.

ANDY MORRIS
...I'm just afraid what level he might stoop too.

SAMANTHA
Don't worry... We'll make sure nothing will happen.

PHYLLIS
By using your wi...

SAMANTHA
My wits? Of course I'll use my wits, Phyllis.

PHYLLIS
Yeah, how did you know what I was going to say?

SAMANTHA (smiles)
Lucky guess.

PHYLLIS
Anyway, I have to go get dinner for Frank. I'll meet you all at the debate.

LOUISE
I thought you said that you forgot your cars keys?

ANDY MORRIS
I'd be happy to drive you.

Phyllis begins to look in her purse.

SAMANTHA
No, that's okay. You go home and work on some ideas for tonight.

ANDY MORRIS
Are you sure?

Phyllis pulls some keys out of her purse.

PHYLLIS
Isn't that funny? Here they are.

Samantha bursts out a fake laugh. Phyllis and Andy begin to walk toward the door. Samantha follows to wish everyone good-bye.

ANDY MORRIS
Bye and thanks again Mrs. Stephens.

SAMANTHA
My pleasure and don't worry about tonight.

PHYLLIS
Good-bye Samantha.

LOUISE
Bye everyone.

PHYLLIS
See you tonight.

Andy and Phyllis walk out the front door, Samantha closes the door behind them. Louise walks over to the entrance hall where Samantha is at.

LOUISE
Samantha, do you really think Mr. Halliwell won't do anything
nasty at the debate?

SAMANTHA
No and I'll make sure of it.

Tabitha walks through the front door.

TABITHA
Hi mommy.

SAMANTHA
Oh, hello dear. How was school today?

TABITHA
Bad.

LOUISE
Geez, reminds me of my school days. I got to go
Samantha.

Louise grabs her purse on the television set and heads for the door.

SAMANTHA
Good-bye Louise.

LOUISE
See you tonight. Bye Tabitha.

Louise walks out the door. Samantha and Tabitha walk over to the and have a seat. Samantha wants to know about Tabitha's day.

SAMANTHA
So why did you have a bad day sweety?

Endora pops in and is being very nosy and curious.

ENDORA
Yes dear... Tell us about your day.

SAMANTHA
Mother!

ENDORA
What!?

SAMANTHA
Don't you have someplace to be, somewhere far away?

ENDORA
No.

Endora moves closer to Samantha and Tabitha. Samantha gives Endora a semi-dirty look.

SAMANTHA
Please continue honey.

TABITHA
Johnny Luccero was being mean to me today.

ENDORA
How dare he!

TABITHA
So I turned him into a toad.

ENDORA
Good job Tabitha!

SAMANTHA
Tabitha!

TABITHA (scared)
It's okay mommy I turned him back.

SAMANTHA
Good.

Adam comes from the kitchen to Tabitha and gives her a big hug. Esmeralda walks behind him with a smile.

ADAM
Hi Tabby!

TABITHA (smiles)
Hi Adam.

ADAM
How was the school?

TABITHA
Okay. How was your preschool.

ADAM
Alright.

TABITHA
Mommy, can you help me with my homework?

SAMANTHA
Actually, Mommy has a debate to get ready for tonight.

ENDORA
A debate? You never mentioned that to me.

SAMANTHA
I didn't think it was necessary. Anyway, Tabitha,
I'm sure Esmeralda will be glad to help you with your homework.

TABITHA
Will you Esmeralda?

ESMERALDA
Sure, no problem. Follow me, we'll get some cookies and milk first.

TABITHA
Okay.

Esmeralda and Tabitha walk toward the kitchen, Adam runs after them . . .

ADAM
I want some too.

ESMERALDA
You already had some.

ADAM
Please!?

Esmeralda and the kids are in the kitchen now.

ENDORA
Samantha, why didn't you tell me about the debate tonight?

SAMANTHA
I thought you would pop in and screw everything up.

ENDORA
Screw it up? Is that how you talk now?

SAMANTHA
Alright, mess it up.

ENDORA
And how would I mess it up?

SAMANTHA
You know how . . .

ENDORA
But I thought you wanted Andy to win.

SAMANTHA (yelling mad)
Mother! Please stay out of this!

ENDORA
Fine, I will stay out of your candidate's election.

SAMANTHA
What the that mean?

Endora is steaming mad and disappears as a big wind storm goes throughout the living room causing everyone to fall down and everything. Samantha walks upstairs.

21. EXT. CONNECTICUT SKYLINE - AFTERNOON FADES INTO EVENING

Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now" plays for about 20 seconds through this little scene.

22. EXT. PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL - EVENING

23. INT. HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - EVENING

Darrin and Samantha walk into the big auditorium with campaign posters on the wall together. All the campaign posters for Andy Morris are embarrassing to him complete with nasty phrases. Samantha has her arm Darrin as they act friendly and lovey dovey. They do not notice the posters.

DARRIN
So who do you think is going to win?

SAMANTHA
I don't know.

DARRIN
Yeah?

Samantha begins to notice the naughty campaign posters of Andy Morris, she slowly backs away from Darrin.

SAMANTHA
I think I know who will win now.

DARRIN
Who?

Darrin still doesn't notice the posters.

SAMANTHA
You said you were campaigning for the Mr. Halliwell campaign?

DARRIN
Yes.

SAMANTHA (furious)
So you did all these?

Darrin finally notices the posters and tries quick for an explanation.

DARRIN
Yes, ah, I mean no.

Samantha walks quickly in front of Darrin to get rid of him.

SAMANTHA
See you later.

DARRIN
Sam, wait up.

Darrin is stopped by Mr. Ball as he tries to follow Samantha.

MR. BALL
Hold it there Stephens.

DARRIN
Ah, Darryl, what are these nasty posters of Mr. Morris doing here?

MR. BALL
We had to make sure Mr. Halliwell wouldn't lose this election.

DARRIN
Well . . . Now my wife thinks I made these posters.

MR. BALL
And what is wrong with that?

DARRIN
Because she has been campaigning for Andy Morris.

MR. BALL (also mad)
She's what! How do we know you aren't giving away our campaign
secrets?

DARRIN (calm)
Because I'm not. And what do you want me to do about my wife?

MR. BALL (as a jerk)
That isn't my problem.

Mr. Ball walks away as Darrin gives him a dirty look.

24. INT. HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - EVENING

Samantha and Andy Morris discuss the posters.

ANDY MORRIS
So what do you want me to do about these posters?
I trusted you Mrs. Stephens, you said you would take care
of anything bad that happens.

SAMANTHA
Yes, and that's what I'm trying to do. You just go backstage and
prepare for the wonderful things you have to say.

ANDY MORRIS (mad)
Fine.

Andy begins to walk away.

ANDY MORRIS (cont'd)
Do you even know exactly who put these up,
I mean I know it was someone on the Halliwell side
but do you know exactly who?

SAMANTHA (caught)
No!

Act Three:

25. EXT. HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - NIGHT

26. INT. LADIES ROOM - NIGHT

Samantha quietly calls for her mother.

SAMANTHA
Mother! Mother! Please come back. I didn't mean to yell at you earlier.

She goes into a deep trance and begins to chant a spell.

SAMANTHA (cont'd)
Through my eyes, I begin to scry
tell me where I might find.
Bring my mother to Samantha thee,
scry then blink to me.

Nothing happens!

SAMANTHA (cont'd)
Great!

27. INT. HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM - NIGHT

All the seats are taken. In one of the first few rows we see Darrin and the Tates and Phyllis sitting next to each other listening to the two candidates debating on stage with a young, attractive lady standing in the middle of the stage asking questions. Darrin is actually hearing the two debate for their very first time and is very interested.

LADY
How would you help high school drop outs with their lives or
to get them back into school, Mr. Morris?

ANDY MORRIS
Well first, I'd like to take my time and try to meet with
each person and talk to than about what they have planned
for their future and why they did dropped out. Basically council them about
their decisions, after all, these students are our future. They will
be the one leading the world soon. Right?

The audience applauds.

28. INT. LADIES ROOM (CONT'D) - NIGHT

SAMANTHA
Please mother!

ENDORA (voice)
Alright. Alright.

Endora pops in.

SAMANTHA
Thank you.

ENDORA
Now what do you want?

SAMANTHA
For you to take down those intimidating posters of Andy?

ENDORA
What posters?

SAMANTHA
You were mad I told you not to come tonight
so you put those nasty posters up of
Andy to make me mad.

ENDORA
Did not and I give my witches honor.

SAMANTHA
You mean that you didn't cast a spell on Darrin to put
up those nasty posters of Andy Morris.

ENDORA
Absolutely not.

SAMANTHA (steamy mad)
Then Darrin really did do those on his own.

ENDORA
You've wasted enough of my time.

Endora begins to pop out but Samantha gives her a quick kiss before she can do so.

SAMANTHA
Thank you mother.

Endora pops out.

29. INT. HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM (CONT'D) - NIGHT

LADY
Mr. Halliwell? Same question.

MR. HALLIWELL
Well, ah, if they want to drop out then I
shouldn't stop them from... what they want to... do.

The audience gives around of "boos". A guilt look crosses Darrin face.

DARRIN (whispers to himself)
Samantha was right. He doesn't know what he is talking about.

LARRY
Did you say something Darrin?

DARRIN
No, but I will.

We see Samantha walk into the auditorium from the back, but she stops once she sees Darrin walks up onto the stage.

SAMANTHA
Darrin!

PHYLLIS
What is my son doing?

The audience wonders what Darrin is doing on the stage.

DARRIN (to lady)
Let me see this for a minute.

The lady backs away from her microphone to let Darrin talk.

DARRIN (cont'd)
Excuse me. Everyone? May I please have your attention? . . .

The audience settles down.

DARRIN (cont'd)
I just wanted to let everyone know of an inside opinion.
At first, this whole election didn't mean anything to me until
Mr. Halliwell's campaign manager wanted McMann & Tate, the advertising
agency that I work for wanted us to handle their campaign as an account, which
was worth a lot of money. So anyway, all I really wanted was the money
and I didn't care what each candidate had to say and I was taking
sides without even hearing what each candidate stood for. And now that I
know after listening to this debate, I realize that I was wrong. To Mr. Halliwell here,
this is just a popularity contest, but to Mr. Morris, this is challenge
to help people and solve important issues that impact several
people. So please remember when you vote that Mr. Morris only has
everyone's best interest at heart and Mr. Halliwell only has his best interest at heart.

The audience gives big round of applause, what the heck, a standing ovation too!

MR. HALLIWELL (furious)
Stephens! I am not giving you one cent!

LARRY (yells)
Oh yes you are. You have a contract.

MR. HALLIWELL
Darn!

LOUISE
Oh, good job Larry. I knew you'd come around.

Louise gives Larry a big hug. Phyllis talks to some stranger next to her . . .

PHYLLIS (excited)
That's my boy up there!

Samantha smiles from the back and runs up to the stage . . . Samantha runs up on stage with Darrin.

SAMANTHA
Oh, Darrin!

DARRIN
Honey, those posters weren't me. It was Halliwell's
campaign manager's doing, we didn't know anything about it.

SAMANTHA
Okay.

Samantha and Darrin embrace in a passionate kiss in front of everyone on the stage. The audience gives a few "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs".

LADY
I guess this debate is over.

ANDY MORRIS
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Stephens. I knew I could count on you.

Mr. Halliwell looks very mad as he leans over his podium. The audience is seated.

30. EXT. STEPHEN'S HOUSE - NIGHT

The words "2 weeks later" appear across the screen.

31. INT. STEPHEN'S LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

The whole cast is seated around the television set with popcorn and sodas except for Darrin who rushes through the door with Andy Morris. They quickly takes their hats and coats off and run over to the TV set. Everyone exchanges greetings.

ESMERALDA
Oh, here it is.

Everyone suddenly shuts up. As everyone stares at the TV, we hear the news casters voice . . . Esmeralda turns up the volume.

NEWS CASTER (voice)
Well, alias the votes are in for our next city
councilman, and if I do say so myself, these
results are quite fascinating. With 58% of the votes, Mr. Andy Morris
is our next city councilman!

Everyone cheers and is very happy. Andy Morris gets everyone's attention for a speech . . .

ANDY MORRIS
I just to say thank you everyone for helping me . . .
How do I put this . . . Thank you for helping me
kick Halliwell butt!

Everyone cheers.

SAMANTHA
C'mon Esmeralda. Let's go bring out the ice cream.

Esmeralda and Samantha walk toward the kitchen and as everyone cheers and talks, everyone is so happy.
